Red Pill Debate 

-       Neo takes the red pill

-       The red pill is the is the path of philosophy, reasoning, critical thinking, etc.

-       Red pill causes people to respond to the challenge that education poses to one’s beliefs 

-       Red pill causes people to recognize that things are not as they appear to be 

-       I believe that we are somewhat living the red pill today---technology exposes us to so many truths 

-    Taking the red pill allows the advancement of the society and allows us to change the world for the better      

-   Taking the red pill is more beneficial to society as a whole

-   Blue pill is the easy way out and only benefits the individual person 

-   Knowledge is power vs ignorance is bliss 

- IIf people join together and all take the red pill, they have a fighting chance at beating the matrix and saving humanity 

-   There is power in numbers 

- I If we are living in a simulation we have the right to know 

-   Connection to the Truman Show: After Truman realizes his whole life was spent living in a simulation, he wants to escape

-   The group of people who escaped the matrix all had a strong bond and felt real emotions rather than people in the matrix who's emotions were manufactured 

-   Neo's character development only occurs after he escapes the Matrix 

-   He becomes the greatest version of himself
